Sunset Raft Ride

Join us for a peaceful sunset raft ride on Lake Saadjärv on 29 August, as we celebrate Muinastulede öö (Ancient Bonfires Night) – a beautiful late-summer tradition of lighting bonfires along the shores of lakes and the sea.

The ticket includes a 1-hour raft ride on Lake Saadjärv and a welcome drink.

The Jääaja Keskus raft will take you out onto the lake just before sunset. There is no need to hurry – we will simply enjoy the view, the evening and the moment.

🌅 The raft departs at 8 PM from the dock at Jääaja Keskus, shortly before sunset. The ride lasts approximately 1 hour.
🍷 The ticket includes a welcome drink.

🔥 Muinastulede öö (Ancient Bonfires Night) is a traditional late-summer celebration during which bonfires are lit along the shores of lakes and the sea, recalling the historic signal fires that once guided sailors.

On 29 August, the Tartu Kalev Yacht Club next to Jääaja Keskus will also be filled with the glow of bonfires. Visitors can enjoy live music, bonfires by the lake, and food and drinks at the harbour.

The yacht club’s beach café will be open, with bubble waffles available to enjoy. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic basket and blanket and settle in for the evening, enjoying the music and the glow of the fires. Rowing boats and paddleboards will also be available for hire.

We recommend bringing a blanket, as the evenings are already getting cooler.
