Grandparents’ Day

The Ice Age Center celebrates Grandparents’ Day on September 8th, Sunday.

Explore the center by following Lemming Lemps’ wisdom trail, discovering 10 fun facts, or listening to fascinating audio guide stories on your own device. By scanning the QR codes, you can find 40 different stories, most of which are available in four languages (Estonian, Russian, English, and Latvian). Through these audio guide narratives, you will learn about how the landscape recovered from the continental ice sheet, which animals arrived first, what glacier ice is, and how heavy a mammoth could be.

Naturally, on this day, grandparents will have free admission when accompanied by their grandchildren. How the grandchildren will be presented is left to the creativity of the grandparents.

Starting from September, the Ice Age Center is open from 10 AM to 5 PM, and the Polar Bear Café is open from 11 AM to 4 PM.
