Easter
Spring is the time when nature awakens and new life begins. That is why eggs have become a symbol of spring celebrations – they represent new life, the awakening of nature, and the beginning hidden within a small yet remarkable form.
During the Easter weekend, families are welcome at the Ice Age Centre to enjoy interesting themed tours and meet real rabbits.
During these days you can:
• join a themed tour about small animals (included in the entrance ticket)
• see and gently pet real rabbits and chickens
• play Ice Age Bingo, which takes you on a discovery journey through the whole centre
• explore the children’s favourite Lemming Lempsi Trail
• discover the exhibition with the help of an audio guide, telling fascinating stories about the Ice Age and Estonian nature
Visitors will also meet adorably small animals right inside the Ice Age Centre, next to the mammoth: rabbits, guinea fowl and little goats. They can be observed up close and gently petted.
Why is Easter connected with eggs?
Eggs have long been a symbol of life and renewal. In spring, birds begin to build nests and hatch their young – a clear sign that nature is awakening after the long winter. In many cultures, eggs are used to celebrate spring because they represent new beginnings and the continuation of life.
Easter weekend at the Ice Age Centre is a wonderful opportunity for families to explore the story of nature, learn about animals, and spend time in a calm, playful and educational environment.
We are open 3, 4 and 5 April from 10 to 17.
The Ice Age Centre café is open during the same hours.
We look forward to welcoming you.
