A sound journey and a blind tour through the Ice Age Center

A voice through 10,000 years: a sound journey and a blind tour through the Ice Age Center.

On March 31 at 17:30 , the Ice Age Center invites all interested parties to an exciting audio journey and blind tour “a voice through 10,000 years”.

Together with the guide Jaak Alekandi and the music ensemble ViiiP³, we travel to the time when mammoths still lived in Estonia. On the dark rooms of the Ice Age Center, we also travel millions of years here and there.

Let’s hear how the sound of the first stone axes could be made, how the ice cracks under the feet of a polar bear or the snow melts.

Our guide Jaak Alekand directs the beam of light to animals that have already disappeared from Earth today, and the musicians create sound emotions from distant times.

ViiiP³ is a new and special group in today’s Estonian music world, where the primal human voice and modern improvisation meet. ViiiP3 consists of singers Ivi Rausi, Sirje Medell and Kärt Sepp, graduates of EMTA’s modern improvisation, who, in addition to singing, also work as vocal pedagogues.

The audio journey and guided tour are primarily intended for adults and young people aged 12 and over.

We are waiting for you on a colorful and surprise-filled journey through time, space and sounds on March 31, starting at 17:30, in the Ice Age Center. The evening ends with a conversation in the Ice Bear cafe.

As the number of places is limited, please register for participation no later than March 30 by e-mail at info@jaaaeg.ee or by phone at 5911 3318.

The event will be held in Estonian and the duration is 90 minutes, admission for all 10 €.
