The Ice Age Center famously reached the 13th place on the museum scene in Estonia!

Kantar Emor recently conducted a study on the popularity of museums and experience centers on behalf of the Heritage Protection Board, the results of which were announced on December 12.

It turns out that the Ice Age Center ranks 13th among 170 museums and 227 experience centers.

Compared to previous surveys, awareness has increased, even more so – the desire to visit the Ice Age Center has doubled in a year.

In southern Estonia, the Ice Age Center is known to distribute 3.-4. about with the Estonian Road Museum, Eespol is only ERM and AHHAA.

“If you take into account the location of the Ice Age Center, the specifics of the activity and the small team, the result is very impressive and worthy of pride,” the head of the Ice Age Center assessed the results of the study.

The aim of the study conducted by the research company Kantar Emor was to find out the popularity and attractiveness of Estonian museums and experience centers. Those who took part in the survey were asked which museums and experience centers people remember first, which museums and experience centers they have visited in the last year, and which ones they plan to visit in the near future. The most famous museums among Estonian residents are Kumu and ERM, the Estonian Maritime Museum and the Estonian Natural History Museum are also well known. The best-known experience center is the research center AHHAA.
