Children’s Day + new exhibition opening

The Ice Age Centre opens a new interactive permanent exhibition on renewable energy on June 1st!
The aim of the new exhibition is to raise awareness about environmentally friendly energy sources and their impact on our everyday lives. The display highlights hands-on, practical solutions that help visitors understand how renewable energy works and why its use is important.
The Ice Age Centre invites you and your family to celebrate Children’s Day with us and explore our exciting new renewable energy exhibition, opening on this very special day!

We invite explorers of all ages to spend an unforgettable, adventure-filled day packed with exciting activities, friendly encounters and tasty treats.
Programme

11:00 – 18:00 The Ice Age Centre and its café are open.

11:00 – 16:00 Petting zoo and pony rides (€3 & €5) in Stone Park.

12:00 – 17:00 Raft rides on Lake Saadjärv depart every hour on the hour (30-minute trip, ticket €5).

12:00 – 17:00 Äksi community kids’ café and the Five Lakes Network activities in the outdoor area.

12:00 – 17:00 Estonian Red Cross presents safety tips in Stone Park.

12:00 – 17:00 University of Tartu scientists run a hydrogen demo in the Oil Shale Hall (3rd floor).

Guided tours of the new exhibition start at 12:30, 14:30 and 16:30 — free with your Centre ticket.
