Festivali pealiku Kadri Valneri sõnul olid arutelupaneelide teemad järgmised: kas kunst on vaid inimese loodud või tõlgendab inimene loodust? Millal on looduse kujutamine teadmine, millal teadus või kunst? Kuidas korraldada üritusi ja reisida nii, et inimese jälg oleks võimalikult väike? Millised on võimalused kultuuri kaudu mõjutada kaaskondlaste käitumist?
Kuidas läks Äksi [eel]arvamusfestival 2024?
20. juulil arutlesid Tartumaal Äksi [eel]arvamusfestivalile kogunenud inimesed looduse ja kunsti, looduskunsti ning inimese panuse üle elurikkuse säilimiseks. Arutelud kandsid sama ideed kui Euroopa kultuuripealinna sõnumgi – millised on ellujäämise kunstid.
Fotograaf Katrin Sisask saatis esimese valiku oma pildisaagist, millest näha arvajaid, kaasamõtlejaid ja kõrvalseisjaid.
Kutsutute hulgas olid loodusemehed ja harrastusteaduse edendajad Veljo Runnel ja Urmas Tartes, maastikuarhitekt Egle Nõmmoja, Lõuna-Eesti kultuuriklastri juht Kanni Kallastu koos teiste turismikorraldajatega, Tartu Oskar Lutsu raamatukogu töötajad ning ka kultuuripealinna eestvedajad.
Äksi [eel]arvamusfestivali lõpetas Jääaja Keskuses filmiõhtu «Metsik lõuna» ja hilisõhtune ansambli Lonitseera kontsert.

On July 20th, people gathered at the [pre]opinion festival in Äksi, Tartumaa, to discuss nature and art, nature art, and human contributions to the preservation of biodiversity. The discussions carried the same idea as the message of the European Capital of Culture – what are the arts of survival?
According to the festival chief Kadri Valner, the discussion panel topics were as follows: Is art only created by humans or does it also interpret nature? When does the depiction of nature become knowledge, science, or art? How can events and travel be organized to minimize human impact? What are the possibilities of influencing the behavior of fellow citizens through culture?
Photographer Katrin Sisask sent the first selection of her photo harvest, which shows the participants, thinkers, and bystanders.
The invitees included nature enthusiasts and citizen science promoters Veljo Runnel and Urmas Tartes, landscape architect Egle Nõmmoja, head of the South Estonia Culture Cluster Kanni Kallastu along with other tourism organizers, employees of Tartu Oskar Luts Library, and also the leaders of the Capital of Culture.
The Äksi [pre]opinion festival concluded with a movie night featuring “Wild South” at the Ice Age Centre and a late-night concert by the band Lonitseera.
